| Bio: | Born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 1970, I started writing as soon as I learned how to build sentences. It took 20 years and a switch from Dutch to English to sell my first story, the short thriller Deep red. In 2003, I placed as published finalist in the Writers of the Future contest; in 2004, I reached first place.
